Rebuild Hope for Rengi Village Families
16 Families • 1 Community Shelter • 1 Toilet Complex • A Safer Tomorrow
On 26th August 2025, a severe road slide occurred at Rengi Village, located on the Chenani–Sudh Mahadev Road, resulting in significant damage to public and private property. Approximately 100 meters of the road, which had been recently constructed by NHIDCL, was completely washed away. As a result of this incident, sixteen (16) houses were severely damaged, rendering the affected families homeless. At present, these 16 families have taken temporary shelter in tents. However, with the onset of winter, such accommodation is highly inadequate, particularly for children, women, and the elderly, who are exposed to harsh weather conditions. To provide these displaced families with minimum basic facilities, it is proposed to fabricate a community shed along with a toilet complex at a suitable location in the village.
